Our Multi-point Screening Process

All nannies submit applications as a first step. These are thoroughly reviewed before a decision is made to move forward.

Our first round of interviews is over the phone, discussing applicants resumes and moving forward with only the best applicants.

This assessment is a secondary approach to ensuring your nanny is fully experienced and knowledgeable on the skills and tasks to care for your child(ren) properly from infant bathing to feeding techniques and everything in between.

Round 2 brings us face to face with our nanny applicants. Giving us the opportunity to interact and see their personalities shine.

We contact ALL references listed by our applicants to ensure only the best nanny’s are placed with families. We require a minimum of 3 references with the exception of nannies that have been with the same family for over 3 years.

We run a nationwide background check to ensure your families safety. This includes criminal and sex offender checks.

Nanny applicants that reach this step are fingerprinted and registered with Trustline, giving a second background check at the state level and allowing you to continue checking on their background checks throughout their employment with you.

All nannys that are placed by Family First Nannies are required to be up to date with CPR and First Aid certifications. We offer renewal classes throughout the year to ensure our nannies are up to date.

If an applicant states they are Newborn Care Certified or have a degree in Child Development we verify this to ensure all claims are accurate!

Connecting with your family is our favorite part of each day. We want to hear all about your family and find out exactly what you are looking for so we can find you the perfect nanny to fit your needs.

After our meeting we will send out our contract, we do not begin the official search until the contract is signed and returned to Family First Nannies.
We have zero fees until a placement is accepted and finding you the right nanny is ALWAYS our top priority.

We are continuously meeting and interviewing new nannies and only continue with the top quality candidates.
Once your contract is returned we start the official search connecting with multiple candidates to offer you the best nannies for your needs.

We bring you a short list of candidates to choose who to schedule meet and greets/ trial periods with based on their resume and interviewing with Family First Nannies. We call all references and personally have multiple rounds of interviews.

Family First Nannies assists in coordinating your meet and greet/trial period with your first choice candidate. We connect after each meeting to see if you want to move forward with that candidate or schedule another meeting with other candidates.

Once you choose the right fit we help you draft a letter/contract of employment and run national and state background checks. We also have all candidates fingerprinted and registered with Trustline upon hire.

We stand by what we do and will follow-up with you once your nanny starts and quarterly the first year to make sure you are still happy with your placement.

We offer two placement options to accommodate your needs. A full placement includes a 6 month replacement window should things not work out and continued follow-ups and support. This placement is 11% of the nannies estimated gross annual income.
Our lower package offers 6 weeks of replacement coverage and continued support through those 6 weeks and is 9% of the nannies estimated gross annual income.*
No fees are due until a placement is accepted and all fees can be broken into a payment plan, interest free.
*a minimum fee of $1500 is charged for all placements. An additional 6% fee is added for out of state placements.
